Asymmetric synthesis of metal complexes/organic molecules for medicinal applications and chiral C-H activation

Asymmetric synthesis has drawn a major interest worldwide due to its immense potential in synthesizing the chiral molecules for various medicinal and biotechnological applications. In this context, we are directed in the synthesis of thio and selenium substituted medicinally active chiral proline analogues and exploring them for various medicinal applications. 1, 3-thioproline motifs are basic units of various drugs like penicillin and expected to show diverse biological activities. Moreover, we also focus on the synthesis of chiral metal complexes which opens wide options both in medicinal applications and also for developing methodologies in organic synthesis. The metal complexes of several d-block elements with different chiral ligands will be performed and applied for enantioselective reactions. Thus synthesized complexes will also be tested for different biological properties. In addition, the enhancement of activity of central metal by ligands also allows C-C and C-X (X= O, S, N) bond formation providing the paramount of pathways for C-H activation.
