Synthesis of conjugated polymer for Organic Solar Cell Application
Amino-functionalized polyfluorene were synthesized by the palladium-catalyzed Suzuki coupling reaction. A particular advantage of the use of polyfluorene as an electron injection layer for polymer solar cell is that they can be processed from solvents such as methanol and water in which most conjugated polymers are insoluble. This feature will allow one to avoid mixing between the active layer and the electron injection layer that is a common and serious problem for fabrication of multilayered polymer solar cell by solution processing
