The title of his talk was “Developing Photocatalyst by Post-Synthetic Modification of Metal-Organic Frameworks”, a perfect start for the seminar series
- “CNMS Ph.D. Seminar Series 2023-2024” was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. C V Yelamaggad, from The Centre for Nano and Soft Matter Sciences (CeNS), Bengaluru, on 2nd August 2023. The title of his talk was “Functional Hybrid Materials for Fundamental & Various Applications”, a perfect start for seminar series.

The first Academia-Industry Conclave organized by Centre for Nano and Materials Sciences (CNMS) Jain (Deemed-to-be University) (CNMS-JU) was successfully held on 2nd & 3rd September 2025 under the theme “Health, Energy, and Water.” The two power-packed days brought together renowned industrial leaders, researchers, and academicians through: Plenary & Invited Talks; Engaging Panel Discussions; Student Idea Pitch & Poster Presentations; Awards celebrating the best innovations. This initiative marks a strong step towards academia-industry collaboration, fostering innovation and sustainable solutions for pressing global challenges. A heartfelt thank you to our organizers,conveners, admin staff, faculty members, student coordinators/volunteers, and facility teams.

We are pleased to announce the inauguration of the Advanced 400 MHz NMR Spectrometer at CNMS, a major step forward in strengthening our research capabilities. The event was graced by Dr. Chenraj Roychand, Chairman of JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), and Prof. Dipankar Das Sharma from IISc. This DST-FIST and JAIN-sponsored facility supports both liquid- and solid-state NMR experiments and is now open to researchers from academia and industry. Geetha Balakrishna, has been awarded with Chirantan Rasayan Sanstha (CRS) Silver Star Award-2023 in the Two-day International symposium entitled “Science Beyond Boundary: Invention, Discovery, Innovation and Society” “RASAYAN 17” jointly organized by Chirantan Rasayan Sanstha, Midnapore, West Bengal & JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Bengalore, Karnataka in collaboration with American Chemical Society as a recognition for her enormous contribution in the advancement as well as popularization of science.
